The flora and fauna of Erthia are diverse and varied. Many types of flora have meanings to the different races of the Western Realm.

Ironwood Tree Description: A luxurious and dark wood. They have dark brown bark, deep green leaves, and lush blue Ironflowers. Known Locations: Gardneria Notable Examples: Various Gardnerian furniture Tessla Harrow's wand Azurrelian thread is an incredibly expensive thread distilled from the Ironflower essence. Notes: It's traditional for Gardnerians' homes to be made of this wood, and to be styled in designs that look like forests and trees. Ironflowers are exacting and complicated to handle.

Alfsigr Spruce Description: A rare tree with glossy black wood with thin green veins tracing through it. It's a deep-green tree with a silvery sheen to its needles and rough, strong branches. Known Locations: Borial Forest, Maelorian Mountains, Alfsigr Lands Notable Examples: Maelorian violins Notes: It's as dense as granite.

River Maple Description: A smooth tree Known Locations: Notable Examples: Elloren Gardner's hairbrush at the Grey's estate Trystan Gardner and Rafe Gardner's lodging house burns River Maple wood. Notes:

Verpacian Elm Description: A tree with velvety bark. An oil can be made from it to use in torches. Known Locations: Verpacia Gardneria Notable Examples: Stoves in the labs at Verpax University Lukas Grey's military tent fireplace The Mage Council Hall torches burn Verpacian Elm oil Alkaia's Council Hall Notes: It's smokeless with a hot and musky smell when burnt.

• Black Cherry: Used as the central support beams of several rooms in the Council Hall.
• Mountain Oak: Used as the frames for oil paintings in the Council Hall.
• Black Walnut: Used as the flooring in the Council Hall.
• Mountain Spruce: Used as support beams for Lukas Grey's military tent.
• Scarlet Elm: Has red serrated leaves and a deeply furrowed trunk. Used in Gardnerian carriages.
• Lacebark Pine: A soft, flimsy, porous wood. It's cheap. Used in the Mage Guard carriages.
• Black Oak: it has a textured trunk. Used to make items like hairbrushes and canopy posts for beds.
• Silver Spruce: An incredibly rare tree. It's an exquisitely gnarled fir tree with needles limned in silver. Used as Elloren and Lukas's Sealing tree.
• Rainbow Eucalyptus: It has a color-striped trunk and is from the Salish Islands.
• Dragon's Blood: Has a dramatically upturned crown.
• Uriskal Beech: Is draped in a gauzy moss.
• Alfsigr Wisteria: Has fragrant silver flowers hannginng down in pendulous, emerald-tinted clusters.
• Silver Pine: Has a sharp and spicy smell.
• Caledonian Sithoy: Immense evergreen trees with gigantic crenulated trunks. It has bloodred wood and black needles. They are famous all over Erthia.
• Sitka Spruce: They have thick needles, scaled trunks, and pendulous cones. They're perfect for transmitting sound so Elloren and Edwin used them to make violins.
• Red Manzanita: A bloodred tree with thick oval leaves a vivid plum color found in the Northwestern Agolith Desert.
• Striped Baobab: A massive, black, ballooning tree with water-filled trunks found in the Northwestern Agolith Desert.
• Black Date: A tree found in the Northwestern Agolith Desert.
• Golden Yucca: A tree found in the Northwestern Agolith Desert.
• Sea Pines: Found on the Fae Islands.

Hydreenas Description: Huge, boar-shaped beasts that are vicious and can track scents over long distances. They are hunched and bristling, with gleaming tusks. Known Locations: Keltania Notable Examples: Notes: Are ridden by Urisk soldiers

Kraken Description: Legendary sea monster of gigantic size. They have oily, black bodies with huge jaws, inky black eyes, and lashing tentacles. Its teeth are as large as swords. They're like a combination of a giant squid, a snake, and a fanged spider. They have claws at the end of their multiple barbed tentacles. Known Locations: Between the Fae Islands and mainland Gardneria Notable Examples: Raz'zor gets one to help him, Effrey, and Sparrow Trillium to the mainland. Notes: They used to b a rare sight, but for some reason they're being drawn closer and closer to Gardneria. They swim in swarms, usually keeping to one direction.

Deathstalker Description: They're small, lime-green scorpions. Known Locations: Notable Examples: Sylla Vuul has one that appears on her shoulder. Notes: One of the most deadly type of scorpion in Erthia.
