Light Mage[]
Sage Gaffney recalls being taught that The Book of the Ancients states that magic is not for women, and only the prophetess Galliana and the Black Witch were granted the holy charge to wield magic and save Gardneria.[1]
The Iron Flower[]
Elloren Gardner tells Jarod Ulrich the story of Galliana while they are at the Yule Ball.
Galliana is responsible for saving Gardnerians long ago. The Mages were fleeing from demonic forces and were outnumbered. Galliana used tthee demon-slaying powers of Ironflowers and the White Wand to fight back. She's often called the Iron Flower for this reason. She rode into battle on a giant raven and struck down the demons with a river of Magefire. Then she led the Gardnerians across a desert to safety. A holiday commemorating her victory is celebrated every year just before Yule called Gallianalein. It's also known as the Ironflower Festival.
