Urisk are a race in the Western Realm. They are looked down on by Gardnerians as "not pure."
Physical Appearance[]
Urisk have jewel-tones skin, hair, and eyes. Urisk vary in appearance depending on their class. However, all Urisk have pointed ears. The Urisk royalty have deep purple skin, hair, and eyes. Urisk of the upper class have soft lavender skin with straight violet hair. Urisk of the lower class have white, rose-tinted skin, hair, and eyes. They are so pale that they could almost pass for Alfsigr Elves were it not for the faintly pink sheen of their skin and hair. The lower class Urisk are called Uuril. A middle class Urisk has blue skin and vivid sapphire eyes. This is also their military class, made up of powerful geomancers. They wear cobalt-blue armor marked with glowing georunes.
History[]
The Urisk originally came from a country called Uriskan. It was razed by Carnissa Gardner's fire magic. During the Realm War, the Urisk allied with the Kelts. The Urisk who had moved to Gardneria were treated terribly. The men were forced to help the Gardnerians build their own dragon army, and the women were forced into slavery. After the Realm War the Gardnerian government killed all the male Urisk. The remaining female Urisk are allowed to live in Gardneria as guest workers. Upper class Urisk work as servants, such as the ones at Vyvian Damon's house. Lower class Urisk work as laborers such as the workers on the Gaffney's farm. Gardnerian history teaches their people that the Sidhe Fae subdued and ruled over the Urisk. Later, the Kelts subdued the Fae in what seemed like an endless cycle of warfare and violence.
Culture[]
The Urisk live in a strict caste system. The lowest class, the Uuril, were slaves to the other Urisk. A great many of them fled north to escape. The original Uuril refugees were welcomed and treated reasonably well until the Realm War. A derogatory term used by Gardnerians for Urisk is "rockbat."
Language[]
The Urisk language is called Uriskal. There are multiple dialects of Uriskal.

The Urisk religion is based on Ge'o deities. Their most powerful diety is Am'eth.
Powers & Abilities[]
Urisk males were powerful geomancers, magicians able to harness the full, destructive powers of gemstones and crystals. They can make weapons, such as scythes, that are inlaid with gemstones to increase their power. Strafelings are one of the most powerful classes of Urisk geomancers. Their existence was seen as a threat to Gardneria, so they were wiped out. The female Urisk are completely devoid of magic.
